Spotlights

This is by far my favorite challenge... actually only because I have already done this type of photography in the theater. It wasn't very challenging, but I still enjoyed trying something different.

Last night was the peak of our Winter storm that came through West North Carolina bringing in over 15" of snow. Late in the evening as the snow was falling, I ventured outside with photo subject and a cheap flashlight. Here is the image that I was able to capture.

I have have also shot an entire theater production "Women of Lockerbee" where the actors only used flashlights as their source of lights. It was quite challenging in the beginning, but I was very pleased with the results. Here's a few pictures from that production. If they didn't have the flashlight directly on themselves, they had one of the other actors shining their flashlight. There was a total of 28 actors in this production.
