Colonel Robert and Nancy MaglinColonel Robert Maglin and his finance Nancy planned their wedding at the Historic Chalet Suzanne in Lake Wales, Florida. What they wouldn't know was that they would be the last wedding hosted there. Chalet Suzanne is closing their doors to the public at the end of July as announced in their newsletter http://archive.aweber.com/chalet_suzanne/9VLbP/h/Chalet_Suzanne_Retires_.htm.
Knowing that the Historic Chalet would be closing didn't hinder the couple in sharing their vows in front of family and friends. Their wedding was scheduled for the garden, but the Mother Nature had different plans and the ceremony was moved indoors. This couple proves that Love has no age.
The couple and their guest enjoyed cocktails in the Lounge followed by the a menu of Prime Rib and Salmon. All prepared to the Chalet Suzanne standards. Colonel Richard's son toasted the couple to many years of happiness, returning the toast that his father shared with him on his wedding day!
A little history was included in the Maglin's photos.. The Chalet Suzanne three wheel bike pedaled by the grandson and the couples friends and family posed in front of the famous inn. Thank you to the entire family that invited me into their family, you all are wonderful people and I am blessed to have met you! Congratulations to Colonel Richard and Nancy Maglin!
