I had the opportunity of doing the Hinshaw's family photo session while they were vacationing here in the mountains of North Carolina.  They anticipated beautiful fall colors and weather, what they got was the earliest snow fall in over 50 years... almost 5"! 

All the 'typical' locations that I would photography a family session were no longer accessible and plan B had to implemented... so I choose one of the prettiest places, the Smokey Mountain National Park. Although most of the colors were gone, there was one beautiful 'orange' tree with perfect fall leaves for our session.
