This week I focused on bokeh... it's creating an image with an out of focus lense. To create the heart shape, I used a piece of hard copy paper and punched a heart into it. Then placing the paper in front of my lense, I manually focused on the gingerbread cookie. This caused the lights in the Christmas tree to change their shape into a heart... also called bokeh!
Here's a few other photos that I tried before I achieved the final result.
2013
I call this 'Sugar Plums dancing in my head". I cut out the sugar plum fairy shape and manually unfocused to create this shape!
And this would be my final photography.
I used one of my Gingerbread Man cookies and manually focused on the cookie. I cut out the 'heart' so that when I shot the photo, I would get this effect. I also choose to use my macro lense for more detail on the cookie!
With the cookie in focus, the background was not and it created the 'heart' shaped bokeh!
