After a week off of doing a photo assignment, and being extremely sick, I was glad to get back to photographing. This week the challenge was taking a portrait during the golden hour. The golden hour is the hour just after sunrise and the hour just after sunset that creates a beautiful hue of color on your subject. My portrait subject was a pair of Cranes in my mother-n-laws back yard. I managed to get my strength up to go outside and photography the birds. The one Crane was pretty intrigued with the camera and on several occassions came right up to my camera. I kept backing off, but he/she seemed really interested in what I was doing. Here are a couple pictures from my Crane portrait session.
My portrait subject.. Look into those eyes, they are quite intimidating!

I think this Crane was trying to keep the other Crane away from the camera... He/She was enjoying all the attention and didn't want to share it with anyone else!
